Every day, human services providers in Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park do the critical work of providing our most vulnerable populations with food.
During the coronavirus pandemic, hunger is at its peak since so many find themselves laid off or working less hours. Seniors who would normally gather in community centers and churches for congregate meals are now homebound. Children who would normally receive meals at school are now home.
The Prince William Area Disaster Fund was created to offer relief to those most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Funds specified for “FOOD” will benefit the Community Feeding Taskforce and will be distributed in the form of grants that support food pantries, grocery distribution, meal delivery for homebound individuals and other nutrition assistance programs.
